The wait-time is short. In the previous facility where I was taking my dog, I waited as long as an hour to see the vet.
KNEE surgery on old dogs. I would check a review on Catskill Veterinary hospital performed by Dr. Andrews, author was Snug Hill.
I will definitely bring Suzie for daycare and overnight stays again when needed.
I'm very happy I switched and would highly recommend Newton Veterinary Hospital.
How can you not love an animal hospital that is staffed 24/7 and provides grooming services and shopping all in one pet-centered facility?
This has made us think and was very en lighting and informed us to the no surgery point. We are new to the area seemed like the way to go,not with age.
I have no one else to watch Suzie so it is very comforting to know Suzie has a home away from home.
Very positive and accommodating. New clients are greeted at the door and a picture is taken of your pet, which is presented to you in a lovely frame, to take home.
We were searching to get this done on our companion, he is well over 170 lbs. and just turned 9 years of age.
The staff were very friendly, and caring towards Suzie and also towards myself, asking if I needing help getting to my car after picking up my precious little dog.
We had to go to Newton Veterinary Hospital on Thanksgiving morning with an emergency for our dog. We saw Dr. Schneider, She has to be one of the warmest, knowledgeable, kind person. You can truly see her passion for animals and the time she spent answering and explaining all of our questions. Thanks Dr. Schneider.
Why oh why can't there be 0 stars. I went there Saturday 11-5-17. I called at 5 with my cairn terrier coughing/hacking. They asked how soon could I get there and I said less than 45 minutes. I arrived at roughly 5:45 PM. Since my dog was hacking when I arrived I was asked to wait in a room. After about an hour a girl came in and weighed him and took his temperature so I figured I was getting close to being seen. Fast forward to 8:30 and still nothing. 2 girls were in the room behind me in a lab area that had a glass window. I opened the door and said I have been here more the 2 1/2 hours. Any idea when I will be seen? She checked and came back about 10 minutes later and stated that when I arrived there were 6 people in front of me and it was down to 2 people in front of me. I waited quietly and patiently for 1 more hour. At 9:30 I walked out and saw the vet outside talking to a couple people. Then I proceeded to the desk and said after more than 3 1/2 hours I am outta here and the girl just looked at me and said OK. Not like you are next or anything else. If my dog was dying in my arms I would not go back there. There is no excuse for that. If you in fact have 13 doctors on staff and are a 24 hour facility there is simply no excuse for waiting 3 1/2 hours with literally no end in sight. I so pray that someone from that place responds with a reasonable explanation which of course non exist. This morning on the other hand I called Hamburg Veterinary Clinic at 8:00 when they opened. I was given an appointment promptly at 9:15. I walked in and having never been there prior filled out the paperwork. Super efficient office. Saw the doctor(Scott Martens) and his assistant(Sage) promptly after completing paperwork. He diagnosed my dog quickly and efficiently. He said I am not going to run all kind of expensive test because he is a healthy young dog and simply has a bout of tracheitis. He gave me some antibiotics and cough suppressant as needed and said he should be fine in a couple days. Super efficient. Super professional and super clean facility. Entire staff interaction was great. I would HIGHLY recommend this vets office. Nothing but praise. I would HIGHLY recommend staying far away from Newton. It is a cluster F like I've never seen. Bigger is NOT better.
I was very pleased with the wonderful care my little Suzie received while boarding at the Newton Veterinary Hospital.
The wellness program is unique. I don't believe I have heard of this in any other animal hospital.
