Brought my d155 tractor here for fixing. 18 hours on it and was told the internal engine governor had gone bad. I said it should be covered by warranty. The owner bill Campbell told me there was no way my machine only had 18 hours on it and he'd been doing this for 30 years. I replied I don't care do you think I messed with the hour meter. He hung up on me. I called back and he proceeded to tell me he'd never seen a machines blades look the way my machines blades did after only 18 hours. I told him to check reasons I gave for dropping machine off. I wanted new blades and oil change because I had been mulching with it. He told me he wasn't goin g to fix my machine and I should pick it up. I told him put it back together and I'll bedown tomorrow to get it. He then told me he wouldn't put it back together either. He doesn't want to do the warranty work. When he gave me a price of 585$ to fix it there was no problem. As soon as I said the internal engine governor is still under warrant he became aggressive. I will give an update after I pick up the machine but, the owner himself is disrespectful and lazy. Never go here. They're only worried about making money nippy doing anything to help the customer like warranty work. What a joke.
From walking in the door to leaving with my new Bobcat zero turn, the employees at Campbells were great. took the time to talk about the machine and made the buying process easy. they earned a repeat customer for all my future purchases. Thanks guys.
Campbell's is by far the best small engines dealer Bill the owner goes out of his way to help you..and rich who also works there is a hell of a guy.. great people to deal with..
Nice folks here to deal with, otherwise.
Check your equipment setup carefully, my new mower cut a very rough, uneven swath- much worse than our old mower. Examination revealed that the _brand-new_ custom-installed blades had squared-off cutting edges- duller than a butter knife. Careful removal and sharpening on the grinding wheel made a great improvement.
Brought in my tractor lawn mower for repairs a few months back. Last week the blades started banging and upon inspection saw that the deck reinforced support rings i previously installed were missing which caused the spindles to wobble and destroy the bearings. Campbell claims there was never rings installed and wanted to charge me to replace the spindles. The owner was angry, rude, and accused me of lying. Never will I use them again!!
